Institut für Baubiologie + Nachhaltigkeit IBN is the wellspring of study and research from which the Principles of Building Biology were first presented to the world. Founded by Anton Schneider, Ph.D in 1983, IBN authorized one of its earliest graduates, our founder Helmut Ziehe, to establish IBE (now known as Building Biology Institute) in Clearwater, Florida in 1986. IBE’s inaugural curriculum, developed by Dr. Schneider, was translated into English by Helmut Ziehe and Katharina Gustavs, of Rainbow Consulting, British Columbia, Canada.
