As the year draws to a close, I am reflecting with gratitude and a little bit of amazement at just how much the Building Biology Institute community has accomplished in 2025. This has been a year of growth, refinement, and renewed clarity about the importance of our mission. Whether you joined us as a student, contributed as a practitioner, volunteered on a committee, or simply followed our work with curiosity, you’ve helped strengthen an international movement dedicated to healthier homes and healthier lives.
This year we expanded and updated key parts of our curriculum, sharpened the focus of our seminars, and strengthened our partnerships with like-minded organizations. Our faculty and advisory boards have been hard at work reviewing science, rewriting courses, and ensuring that what we offer reflects both the wisdom of traditional Building Biology and the realities of an ever-changing built environment. Our practitioners continued to serve families and communities across the globe, translating these principles into real-world solutions for healthier indoor spaces.
As we look toward 2026, I can share that we have several major announcements on the horizon — new programming, new collaborations, and new opportunities to elevate Building Biology education and professional development. I’m not able to reveal the details quite yet, but I can say this: the Institute is entering an exciting phase of expansion that will benefit students, graduates, and the general public in meaningful ways.
December is also a time when many of us reflect not just on what we’ve achieved, but on what makes that work possible. The Building Biology Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and the generosity of individuals, families, and foundations plays a crucial role in sustaining our mission. If BBI has supported your learning or helped you bring healthier environments to others, I invite you to consider making a tax-deductible year-end gift. Even modest contributions make a real difference in allowing us to provide high-quality education, maintain scholarships, improve our online learning systems, and develop new programs.

Thank you for being part of this extraordinary community. Each of you helps carry the torch of Building Biology forward, ensuring that more homes, schools, and workplaces become the healthy spaces we all deserve.
Wishing you and your families a peaceful holiday season and a joyful and meaningful to the new year.
