In times of unprecedented change, it is even more vital our homes be our sanctuaries. Where else can we go to de-stress and heal? But like everything else, it can feel overwhelming when you start to learn the many ways the built environment can ill-affect our health.
BBI isn’t here to add to your stress or create more problems. We’d rather hand you the tools and knowledge to start making improvements … little by little, as you are able. Some are super simple. If you don’t want to hardwire everything, at least turn off your Wi-Fi at night. This will help you get more healing and restorative rest. Open the window and let some fresh air in daily. Choose natural fibers for that new rug, or low- or no-VOC paint when spiffing things up. Choose natural cleaning products and learn to read labels.
Think in terms of good, better, and best. Any positive change is good, however modest the payoff. So do what you can, and you might be surprised at how you feel the stress of the outside world dissolve once you come home to your own personal sanctuary.
