BBI Welcomes Two New Board Members

Welcome Jen and Michael!

At our June meeting, the BBI’s Board of Directors unanimously voted in two new members. We’re excited by the unique experiences each brings to the Institute, and the work we’ll all be doing together.

Jen Jobart is a Build Science Educator and Consultant.  Through her company Practical Healthy Homes, she helps families build healthy, resilient homes they can thrive in. Jen is a triple-certified BBNC, BBEC, and EMRS Building Biologist, a certified Passive House Tradesperson, and a certified Permaculture Designer. The book she wrote, Destination Blue Sky, talks about how she and her husband healed their family from PANS, Mold and environmental illness, Lyme and co-infections, and cancer, by building a healthy home. She runs the Facebook group Beyond Build Defects: Building a New Healthy Home. Jen lives in the California Sierra Foothills and works with clients worldwide.

Michael Feldstein has spent over a decade in disaster response and environmental remediation, working hands-on to restore homes and buildings after major fires, floods, and mold outbreaks. Through years of air quality testing and environmental consulting, he developed a deep understanding of the invisible threats that compromise indoor air.

That real-world experience led him to found Jaspr—an air education company at its core. Jaspr is dedicated to raising awareness about air quality and making complex science simple and actionable. Through content, community, and education, Jaspr empowers people to better understand their environment and reclaim control over the air they breathe.

Originally from Canada, Michael now lives in Austin, Texas, where he continues to champion healthier buildings, clearer air, and a more informed public.
