Description
Topics include furnishing for climate, toxic fumes and off-gassing, synthetic versus natural fibers, ergonomic seating, dynamic sitting, physiological design for bedding and seating.
Cultivated living tells quite a bit about educational background, character, mental awareness, artistic sense and understanding of a person, a family and a whole people. And the dilemma is that furnishing a dwelling has become a matter of technology, industry, mass production, wholesale and retail sales activities and mass consumption, resulting in total dependency both in furnishing, construction and housing development in general. Lost is the creational, individual aspect of a culture that was based on workmanship and a wealth of ideas. And yet, as this course clearly establishes, workmanship survives and can be found by those who see it.
